{"id":139,"date":"2018-11-08T09:11:50","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T09:11:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/embeddingskills-dev.hud.ac.uk\/?page_id=139"},"modified":"2019-07-11T09:25:22","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T08:25:22","slug":"project-report","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aldinhe-embeddingskills.hud.ac.uk\/index.php\/project-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Progressive Learning Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"testbread\"><span><span><a href=\"https:\/\/aldinhe-embeddingskills.hud.ac.uk\/\">Home<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>As part of an Embedding Skills Teaching and Learning Project, funded by the University of Huddersfield, the focus has since concentrated on specific aspects of student progression, and in particular how the \u00e2\u0080\u0098forgotten\u00e2\u0080\u0099 second year of study (Tobolowsky, 2008) can be used to bridge the gap between first and final years. \u00c2\u00a0 What can we as Learner Developers do to aid the transitional phases from years 1 into 2 into 3 and out into employability? How might progressive learning development facilitate this journey?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a series of focus groups with students, subject specialist academics and learning developers, participants \u00c2\u00a0discussed and mapped the student journey across three years of study. \u00c2\u00a0These were recorded, analysed and elements extracted to create five thematic videos.
